Charades

Have you ever played charades? That’s the game where you are given a name of a movie or a person and you use pantomime to get others to guess who you are. Maybe you feel as if your life is a charade and you wonder “does anyone know the real me?”

If there’s one thing you don’t want to see (or smell) when you go to the beach it’s brown foam! Been there. Done that.

Leftovers?

When was the last time you went out to dinner and had leftovers? The portions at some restaurants are so HUGE it’s hard to eat everything at one sitting; after you eat your fill (and then some), there is still enough for another meal or two (unless you have teenage boys)!

What Are You Doing?

Have you ever been asked that question? Perhaps it was asked by someone who came upon you doing something they didn’t understand, or perhaps it was just a general question in the early stage of a phone call. What are you doing? is also relevant in the realm of faith.

Are You Listening?

Have you had the experience of talking with someone and feeling they were not listening? Have you ever tried saying something “off the wall” to check them out? Just last week I was talking with Anna Marie on the phone but trying to conclude a transaction on my computer at the same time. I was not “tuned in” (and she did not take advantage of my distraction).
