You’ll Be Here When?
I still remember the tone in Paula’s voice. She was just about to put dinner on the table, the kitchen reflected her hours of work. Our house had been on the market for many months, with a “call first, then go” instruction in the multiple listing. The phone rang. On the other end of the line was a realtor, asking if he could show the house—he and his clients were . . . in the driveway! “You’ll be here when?”

Taking Care of Business
There is a advertising tune which, if I am hearing it correctly, says “Taking care of business; working overtime.” If work is the only place you are doing “overtime” you are unusual! Between work demands, school demands, multiple kids playing multiple sports, aging parents, another Bible study, no wonder we eat fast food in our cars! We are busy people. Too busy. Our lives are full of busyness.

I Get No Respect!
Every professional I know has, at one time or another during their career, been disregarded by their parents and or siblings. No matter how well recognized by others in their profession, like Rodney Dangerfield are, they get “no respect” from those who “knew them when . . ..”
