How Many Churches Are There in Concord?
I remember being at a Concord City Council meeting where one of the elected officials asked this question. Of course, she had her own answer already prepared at 152 or some such. Of course, this is a natural assessment, but it is not accurate!

Too Busy?
What does your weekly “calendar” look like? My impression is that, to paraphrase Isaiah, “I am a man overbooked, living among a people who are overbooked!” To approach it a bit differently, do you take time regularly to just “hang out” with those who don’t know Jesus, to be their friend?

That line, spoken by Peter Parker’s aunt, is one of the great lines in Spiderman (2002, Sony Pictures). Although the teenager in New York didn’t have X-ray vision, he did have some abilities “far beyond those of mortal men.”

Blabbermouth!
Have you ever been asked to keep a secret? How about to not talk about something that is obvious? Maybe somebody smashed up their car, but can still drive it around, but they don’t want you to tell anyone they were in an accident. Or, perhaps more on point with this week’s interaction, someone gave you a shiny new car and told you to not tell anyone! Everyone will know you got the new car, so what’s the point of being quiet?
